Catherine Curtin, J. Anthony Crane and Jared Canfield Join Gilded Age Dark Comedy Plucked

Ensemble assembled by casting director Patricia McCorkle for the second feature from the Pickings filmmakers

NEW YORK, NY — Dark Passage Films today announced the full cast of Plucked, a Gilded Age dark comedy written and directed by Usher Morgan and Katie Vincent. The film marks the second feature collaboration between the two, following their debut Pickings, which received a limited theatrical release through AMC Independent.

Vincent stars as Katherine Greene, a woman who decides to divorce her emotionally unstable husband in 1880s New York — a decision that collides with a dinner party staged to keep up appearances. Jared Canfield (The Blacklist, Power Book IV: Force) plays her husband Peter.

The ensemble also includes Catherine Curtin (Orange Is the New Black, Stranger Things) as Maggie, J. Anthony Crane (The War of the Roses, Wishmaster) as James, Bryant Carroll (A Man Called Otto, Hit Man) as Nigel, and Susan Gallagher (Cobra Kai, Walkaway Joe) as Emilie. Tony D. Head, Fred Sullivan and Jacob A. Ware round out the cast as Oswald, Theo Killian and William.

Casting was led by Patricia McCorkle, whose involvement helped bring the ensemble together around Curtin's early attachment to the project. Plucked is produced by Dark Passage Films in collaboration with Hot Jam Productions. Principal photography is scheduled to begin later this year in Rhode Island.
