Teaser Trailer Released for Plucked, the Gilded Age Dark Comedy from Usher Morgan & Katie Vincent
Film opens in limited theatrical release November 13, 2026, in New York, Los Angeles, and Boston.
NEW YORK, NY — Dark Passage Films today released the official teaser trailer for Plucked, the dark comedy from co-writers and co-directors Usher Morgan and Katie Vincent. The teaser is now streaming on Dark Passage Films' YouTube channel ahead of the film's limited theatrical release on November 13, 2026.
Set in Gilded Age New York, Plucked follows Katherine Greene (Vincent), a woman who makes the boldest decision available to her in 1886: divorce. When her husband Peter (Jared Canfield) learns of her intentions on the night of an important dinner party, a polite and civilized evening spirals into chaos. The film also stars Catherine Curtin (Orange Is the New Black, Stranger Things) and J. Anthony Crane (Outer Banks, Succession).
“Every film begins with a question,” said Morgan and Vincent in a joint statement. “For us, the question was simple: what comes after heartbreak? Plucked is a mirror. It reflects back the mess of being human — our failed systems, our crooked laws, our endless attempts to force circles into squares.”
Plucked has won Best Feature Film at the East Village New York Film Festival and Best Dark Comedy Film at the New York International Film Awards, and took home the top prize at the Garden State Film Festival, where it had its World Premiere. Additional festival selections include the Riverside International Film Festival and the Manhattan Film Festival, where it played as the Opening Night Film.
Plucked opens in limited theatrical release on November 13, 2026, in New York, Los Angeles, and Boston, ahead of a wide digital release on January 15, 2027.
